Academic (General Studies Scholarship)

Scholarship Amount: Varies depending on available funds. To qualify, applicants must be a university undergraduate, traditional ground campus student taking at least 12 hours per semester.

To qualify:

  • Applicants must be a university undergraduate, traditional ground campus student taking at least 12 hours per semester

  • Students applying for the Digital Arts or Computer Science in Gaming / Computer Science in Game and Simulation Development Scholarships must be pursuing an academic degree in those particular fields.

Eligibility and scholarship recipients will be determined by the LEO Foundation Scholarship Committee. Scholarships will be awarded in spring 2023 for the 2023/2024 academic year. Scholarship recipients must acknowledge their award in the form of an email thank you within three weeks of notification to mwinney@leofoundationusa.org.

Digital Arts Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000.

The Digital Arts program exposes students to different methods of digital design, learning how to balance technology and creativity. Students will learn about design, production and interactive media, with most digital arts degree programs including some foundational courses in digital art.

To qualify:

  • Candidate must meet GCU admissions requirements;

  • Candidate must pursue being a full time student;

  • Candidate shall demonstrate documented financial need as defined by the college or university Office of Financial Aid;

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3.5 GPA;

  • Candidate must submit a one-page personal narrative word document;

  • Eligibility and scholarship recipients will be determined by the LEO Foundation Scholarship Committee. Scholarships will be awarded in spring 2023 for the 2023/2024 academic year. Game Development and Computer Science Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000.

The computer science and game development combined major focuses on the specific skills needed to succeed in the highly competitive game industry. 

The scholarship shall be awarded to student(s) who meet the following criteria:

  • Candidate must meet GCU admissions requirements;

  • Candidate must pursue being a full time student;

  • Candidate must be pursuing an academic degree in Game Development and Computer Science;

  • Candidate shall demonstrate documented financial need as defined by the college or university Office of Financial Aid;

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3.5 GPA;

  • Candidate must submit a one-page personal narrative word document;

SKW Play it Forward Music Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000. 

 

The scholarship shall be awarded to student(s) who meet the following criteria:

  • Candidate must meet GCU admissions requirements;

  • Candidate must pursue being a full time student;

  • Candidate must be pursuing an academic degree in Music;

  • Candidate shall demonstrate documented financial need as defined by the college or university Office of Financial Aid;

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3.5 GPA;

  • Candidate must submit a one-page personal narrative word document;
