TIFFANY D. MEALMAN WOMEN EXCELLENCE IN CHEMISTRY AND CHRISTIAN CHARACTER SCHOLARSHIP
Tiffany Mealman was a passionate researcher, caring educator, and devoted friend who touched the lives of many. Tiffany will be remembered for her quiet resilience and incredible endurance with which she continued her academic pursuits, despite the odds. She was a great mentor for many students, sharing her passion for science and inspiring them to be their best and achieve their goals. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy will endure.
The scholarship shall be awarded annually to an outstanding female student who meets the following criteria:
- Candidate must meet university admissions requirements
- Candidate must be an in-state traditional ground student
- Candidate must be a woman with a declared major in Chemistry or Biochemistry
- Candidate must possess a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher and have received the grade of A in her Biochemistry class
- Candidate must submit a 300-word personal statement about the importance of integrity, character, and Christian service in her life
The LEO Foundation Scholarship Committee will work collaboratively with Terence L. Mealman and the university’s science faculty to identify qualified recipients to ensure the recipients satisfy the criteria requirements. Eligibility and scholarship recipients will be determined by the LEO Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Scholarships will be awarded in spring 2024 for the 2024/2025 academic year. Scholarship recipients must acknowledge their award in the form of an email thank you within three weeks of notification to mwinney@leofoundationusa.org.
